Composting sounded like an eco-friendly dream, until my bin turned into a rotting science experiment. There's nothing like opening the lid and getting punched in the face by eau de banana peel and coffee grounds. Still, turning kitchen scraps into plant gold is pretty cool. Just don't do it in flip-flops, Trust me on this one.
